# Your tag

You are handed a tag at the entrance. Carry it with you.

## What it does

The tag is what tells the cameras along the trail to photograph you. The
stations pick it up as you walk in, before you reach the point where the
photo is taken.

**No tag, no photo.** If you do not take a tag, or you hand it back, the
stations do not photograph you. That is the way to opt out.

## What it is not

- It carries no name, no account and nothing about you.
- There is nothing to switch on or charge. It has no battery.

## Keep it

The tag is yours to keep. Staff write a short code on it at the entrance, and
that code is how you find your photos online later — see
[Finding your photos](finding-your-photos.md).
